I like this one because it sits in that middle ground between being familiar and abstraction. Our brains find this curious because on one hand we want to know what it is, but on the other our eyes search the details not normally bothered with. The result being we observe and understand something new to us.

Thanks, that's sort of what I thought when capturing the image, the theme of this blog in part is based around that concept, textures in our surroundings using the minds eye.
